Las Vegas Casinos

Here's our take on Las Vegas Casinos. Please note that there is no commentary on whether you should stay at these hotels, we are merely ranking the casinos. Here's the list:

Casinos in Las Vegas:

Here's the SearchingCities.com top-10 list for Vegas Casinos, compiled by our compulsive gamblers on staff.  Remember, this is all about the casino. Please see our Las Vegas Hotels Reviews to figure out where to stay. Here are the best places to gamble, however:

1.  Mirage Las Vegas Hotel & Casino -- The Mirage Hotel Las Vegas offers many tables, good rules, medium stakes, good music at night, and a reasonably classy clientele.  The new high-stakes blackjack and baccarat room is AWESOME! We hereby declare it the best place to play Blackjack anywhere in the world. That's a strong statement, but it's not even close. Additionally, there is always a party mood in the main casino, and they usually have a great live band.

2.  Paris Las Vegas -- The casino floor has a ceiling that replicates twilight in Paris, complete with one leg of the Tour d' Eiffel jutting down through the ceiling in the middle of the casino. A combination of good rules, reasonable stakes, good bands, good ambiance, and an above-average high-stakes blackjack/baccarat room make this our second favorite place to play.

3. Bellagio Las Vegas Hotel & Casino -- Bellagio is in limbo. Recent trips to Vegas have been frustrated by the construction and changes in the layout. A recent expansion of the poker room is a huge plus for poker players (this is far and away the best place to play poker in Las Vegas) but it is a downer for blackjack players who loved the old pit near the sports book. Rumor has it that this place will skyrocket to number one once the new high-stakes room is revealed. We'll see what happens. Although the nicest environment of all the resorts in Las Vegas, the Bellagio has lost beaucoup points by putting in too many automatic continuous shuffling machines.
If, like us, you refuse to play at those, you are limited to searching among about 14 tables, many of which have minimum bet requirements of $300 or $500 per hand. Occasionally, you can find one or two tables with a $25 or $50 minimum.  The bottom line is that is that if you plan to play blackjack at Bellagio, be prepared to play with an automatic shuffle machine, or be prepared to bet a minimum of $100 per hand.

4.  Wynn Las Vegas Hotel & Casino -- Being the newest Las Vegas Casino, the Wynn has to be in the top 5. The new tables are reason enough. Another advantage is that the casino is geared towards table players rather than slots, so there are plenty of Blackjack tables. We also love the fact that they have hired several deaf dealers, at least two of which are really fun to play with. Blackjack by the pool is another idea that is long overdue.  Click here for more information about Wynn Las Vegas.

5.  Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino -- Double-deck surrender blackjack is gone, but the atmosphere in this casino keeps it in the top 5. Younger crowd, reasonably friendly dealers, and wide availability of medium-stakes tables are all strengths at the Mandalay Bay Casino.
