When it comes to hotels, there are different categories. For example, the Marriott in Times Square is a large hotel that is very nice and is in a great location, but it does not offer some of the charm of the smaller hotels such as the Carlton Hotel, Roger Smith Hotel or the Gershwin Hotel. The Roger Smith Hotel, for example, is a smaller hotel in midtown, but it has a quaint charm that you will not find at the major hotels in Times Square. Remember that choosing a smaller hotel usually leads to more personalized service. The Muse Hotel is another great option, but is on the expensive side. The Muse is in a great location, about 2 blocks from Times Square. The hotel is small enough to give you great service and large enough to provide all the amenities you are looking for.
