Santa Fe Restaurants By Tom Battle Cafe Pasqual's - Pasqual's offers southwestern food, day in and day out my favorite, especially for breakfast and lunch (casual; crowded, must put name on wait list except at dinner when reservations are taken), E, 121 Don Gaspar (downtown), 505 983 9340 The Shed - firey New Mexican, very popular for lunch. Not too expensive (cheap by Santa Fe standards), but the food is delicious. Make sure to try the margaritas! M, 113 1/3 E Palace (downtown) Santa Cafe - contemporary w/ asian influences. This is a fancy, white tablecloth place. Food is excellent, but a little pricey. VE, 231 Washington (downtown), 505 984 1788 The Anasazi- contemporary/southwestern. Dinner was very good, breakfast was OUTSTANDING! Nice little cozy bar as well. The Inn at Anasazi is one of our favorite Santa Fe hotels. VE , in Inn of the Anasazi, 113 Washington (downtown), 505 988 3277 The Compound - contemporary, revived to promenence in recent years, VE, 653 Canyon Rd, 505 982 4353 The Palace - comtemporary, VE, 1422 W Palace (downtown), 505 982 9891 (same owner as Geronimo) Guadalupe Cafe - New Mexican, great breakfasts, I, 422 Old Santa Fe Trail (downtown) Pink Adobe Restaurant - This is a Santa Fe dining legend. A mixture of New Orleans and Southwestern cuisine, it's a fabulous place to dine. It's not too expensive, and the atmosphere is more casual than most high-quality restaurants in Santa Fe. Make sure you try the crawfish enchiladas. They are to die for! |
